Get to know me better!
My name is Dana, I'm 31, born, raised and living in Germany. I have been studying English for over 20 years, including majoring in English at University. I hold a Cambridge Certificate level CAE and gained experience in conversation, nearly all types of writing, and translation from English to German and vice versa.
I have been a professional translator for over 5 years now and am particularly experienced in translating:
-
both fiction and non-fiction (e)books and novels
-
product listings with regard to maximum characters and keywords
-
websites
-
game and film localization & subtitling
-
social media posts
... and many more!

I'm also happy to offer additional services like editing your work in InDesign or directly via WordPress or transcribing audio or handwritten texts.
By choosing my service, you will receive a non-automated translation with an emphasis on maintaining your style of writing and localization of region-specific details.

My translation will be proofread carefully to ensure no mistakes happened.
It is of high importance to me to meet the set deadline and to work with you until you are 101% satisfied.
Your texts will be treated confidentially and you have all rights to publicize my work in your name.

I was honored to be interviewed by author Anabelle Stehl on her Twitch channel, and in this video you can view the entire interview in which we chat about how I became a translator, how I work, challenges and preferences, and much more! It's in German, but I'll be sure to add subtitles in the future.

“Not only an amazingly lovely person to work with but did excellent and super diligent work. Can’t thank you enough, Dana!!”

I do not translate pornographic content and any form of legal content.
03
Can you provide sample translations or certifications?
I am happy to name some books I've worked on and been mentioned in or companies I have worked with, but sending you any work I've done previously is not possible, since I treat all files confidentially. I can translate a sample text for you, though it has to be paid for.
